For this blog post, I am going to be explaining to you what I did on my research project and the information I have taken from my teacher and the peers in my class and how I can better my writing for this project. Also I'm going to discuss the little struggles I been going through writing this.
I have written my introduction and the one thing that is worrying me is that I won't have enough information or I won't make it to the deadline or I won't meet the criteria of the work. I'm happy that the research project is due November 26th, God is good. My Introduction is: Everyone basically lives a busy life. Some people are in school and some people just work, and others do both. A few have a family to take care of while others have to help their parents put food on the table. “Three Good things” is a practice each day for at least one week by which you take 10 minutes of your time and write down three things that went well for you that day, and provide an explanation for why they went well (Greater Good in Action, 2018). So the question I ask myself today is, can the “three good things” gratitude process have a positive impact on my well-being? To my knowledge, I think “three good things” gratitude process can have a positive impact on my well-being because it’s nothing wrong with taking 15 mins out of the day and writing 3 things that went well for me. I did it for a week and it help me realize that by each day that passes by is a new day and I can change my life to benefit myself. I'm not done yet but this is a start.

I didn't really start on this project yet but in class I learn about positive psychology (meaning the scientific study of what makes life most worth living). This shows me that life is more than just money, wealth, or power; life is about happiness and love ones and having hope that you can do something you put your mind too. Also I learned about "three good things" by Dr. Seligman and I started writing 3 things I did per day and this really did help me see how I waste my time and I had to think for myself, "Is Nymahlee using her time wisely or not?" I have to start putting more work into my project and next time I’m going to try to use my time to go to the library when I have some time before class just to see what I can use to help me with my introduction. To prepare myself for this research project, I have read What is Positive Pyschology & Why Is it Important? (Positive Psychology Program), Greater Good in Action: Science-Based Practices for a Meaningful Life (UC Berkeley's Project Home Page), and Three Good Things (Greater Good in Action). For this blog, I'm going to be writing journal entries for seven days with three different gratitude moments that occur each day. I will be writing about special moments that happen during the week.
